to £85,000 p.a. + Bonus

Our client, a leader in global market analysis, is seeking a skilled Carbon Market Analyst to join their dynamic and rapidly expanding global markets team.

This team delivers real-time insights and analysis on global markets to a diverse range of clients, including traders, portfolio managers, economists, and strategists on both the buy-side and sell-side.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical and ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be joining a team of experienced analysts, researchers, and former traders from backgrounds in energy, utilities, investment banking, and research. Their client base is broad, ranging from traders to strategists and portfolio managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time analysis of Carbon Markets
  • Engage directly with clients throughout the trading day.
  • Collaborate closely with senior energy analysts and the broader markets team focused on oil and gas.
  • Contribute to thematic research projects.
  • Develop new analytical tools and research products.
  • Build and maintain market connections and manage existing relationships.

Essential Requirements:

  • Academic Background: A 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant market analysis experience in Carbon Markets
  • Skills: Ability to deliver insightful, actionable analysis under pressure. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
