Full Description
One of the UKs largest Independent oil and gas company, are looking to recruit a Commercial Advisor (Gas) to join the team based in their London office.
Responsibilities-
- To execute hedges as required by the VP – Trading & Energy Transition.
- Monitoring and communicate developments in the gas and NGL markets, assessing trigger levels, analysis and forecasting of prices, National Grid and other costs.
- Respond to gas/NGL production variances (actual vs forecast), outages and planned maintenance as they relate to hedging and nominations.
- Maintain a strong relationship with physical gas and NGL counterparties and buyers.
- Optimise physical gas nominations across the portfolio to maximise revenue.
- Run and improve the processes which calculate our physical gas and NGL invoices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable external regulatory regimes (carbon emissions, REMIT, etc.).
- Provide accurate and timely support to the VP – Trading & Energy Transition as required.
- Support M&A as required.
Experience Required-
- Education in Maths/Finance or similar, to degree level OR equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience working on a physical crude or natural gas desk.
- Commodities analytics experience.
- Strong attention to detail, highly analytical and advanced problem-solving skills.
- IT literate (including the ability to build and maintain complicated excel tools, VBA and SQL would be an advantage).
- Communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Resilient under pressure and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
