Our client, a Commodity Trading company, are looking for recruit a Crude Oil Trader to join the team.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing the team Mediterranean and North Sea crude oil trading book and managing effectively, the associated trading risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the Med and North Sea crude oil trading strategies and develop the related marketing and trading opportunities in these markets
- Liaising with relevant teams to ensure the successful execution of physical and financial trades
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients and other counterparties in Med and European markets
- Deliver performance to meet the annual crude oil purchase and sales performance targets
- Responsible for the efficient execution of the end-to-end process of negotiating business contract terms, the review of contract texts, coordinating contract approval and execution and risk management
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships by regularly visiting them to establish their requirements and understand their future supply and demand potential, enabling the company to offer new business solutions
- Undertake market research and evaluate new opportunities and the development of new clients, markets, new varieties and models in the Med
- Responsibility for ensuring that all trading undertaken is within the authority of the role and company guidelines and standards.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with the company’s internal business processes and internal controls management system.
- The post holder is required to undertake any tasks which may reasonably be expected within the scope of the role
- Be willing to travel internationally when required
