Legal Counsel

Full Description

This role is working for a global commodity trading company our client is ideally looking for someone who has current or previous experience in working in the same industry.

Main duties will include:

Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents and contracts.

· Representing the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.

· Providing timely, technically accurate, and commercially informed legal advice to the company.

· Conducting trade regulation analyses.

· Taking responsibility for daily company compliance matters, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, identifying potential compliance risks in a timely manner, and making recommendations on mitigating these risks.

· Managing all related matters and collaboration with law firms.

· Advising on risk management and the legal implications of policy decisions.

· Conducting surveillance and compliance risk analyses for high-risk counterparties and agents.

· Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.

· Participating in strategic planning and decision-making at a senior level.

· Undertaking project work as required
