Full Description
Join a well-funded Derivatives Commodity Trading firm, who have significant backing from both Institutional and Private Equity, are looking to rapidly grow their Commodity Trading team with funding for up to 8 Commodity Derivative Traders.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Trading Execution: Develop and execute sophisticated trading strategies within the listed commodities sector.
- Risk Oversight: Proactively identify and manage market risks, ensuring strategies align with the company’s robust risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Management: Drive financial performance by setting and achieving profit targets, continuously refining trading strategies to maximise returns.
- Market Representation: Serve as the primary contact for brokers, exchanges, and other external stakeholders, ensuring seamless trading operations and strong market relationships.
- Market Research and Insights: Analyse and interpret market trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes, incorporating these insights into trading strategies to capitalise on new opportunities.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all trading activities.
Requirements:
- Academic Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, or engineering. Advanced qualifications or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) would be advantageous.
- Proven Trading Expertise: Extensive experience in commodities trading, with a demonstrable track record in Swaps, Derivatives, and Cleared products.
- Risk Management Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation, with the ability to navigate complex market conditions effectively.
- Technical Competence: Experience with advanced trading platforms and systems, utilising technology to optimise trading outcomes.
- Analytical Strength: A sharp, data-driven mindset for identifying market opportunities and devising impactful strategies.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering high levels of motivation and performance.
- Regulatory Awareness: Deep understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards in global energy trading.
