Shift Trader

Full Description

A leading Energy Trading company based in central London are recruiting an experienced Energy Shift Trader due to the promotion of the existing job holder and the continuing expansion of the business.
The successful candidate will have good knowledge of the energy industry, including gas and power operations and experience of the UK Spot and OTC markets.

• Trading within-day gas and power markets

• Working as part of a 24/7 operations team on a full shift rotation basis

• Devising and implementing short term trading strategies

• Managing the business’ positions

• Assisting with requests from stakeholders across the group when required, helping to promote the team and support the successful growth of the business

• Deliver against annual team/individual targets & ensure our performance is tracked

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Good knowledge of the energy industry, including gas and power operations

• Experience of the UK Spot and OTC markets would be highly desirable

• Ability to quickly translate complex analysis and accurate interpretation of market and system data thus ensuring optimal trading and asset profiling decisions are taken

• Excellent computer skills, SQL, VBA
