Trade Support Analyst

A leading International Commodity Trading firm is seeking a Trade Support Analyst to join their Trading Team. This role will support the physical commodities trade book, working closely with traders to assist with client relations, reporting, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Input and manage contracts

Reconcile trade entries with the in-house trading system

Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Maintain position updates: daily purchase and sales positions, global stock positions, liaising with clients on price fixation, and managing Rainforest Alliance/Fairtrade credit transfers

Report on trading positions

Provide general front-office administrative support

Identify and implement process improvements

Update and maintain physical cover sheets (monthly)

Skills & Experience:

Degree-level education in business or a related field, or equivalent experience (e.g., A-levels plus relevant experience)

Minimum of 1 year’s experience in trade, finance, business, or a related sector

Strong understanding of commodities markets and FX practices, ideally gained through previous work experience

Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills, with a high level of numeracy and attention to detail

French language skills are a plus

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure while supporting the trading team
